We had almost equal athletes due to USM being able to sign players that could not sign with the SEC schools due to academic reasons. The difference in their budget and our budget was a whole lot smaller percentage wise and money wise. I would guess portal wise it is one million versus 35-40 million today. You really can't look at anything but portal monies today and the ability to fire coaches on a whim and pay him millions and hire another paying him even more in millions.
