Players at every position fail to develop to match their raw measurables. It’s not necessarily an an indictment on a coach, relative to his overall body of work, when a situation exists where a position group is down for a season. The room lost a starter before the season began and Dwyer missed the first three games. Everyone knew going in that there was a lot of inexperience and our brilliant GM supplemented the room with a player from South Alabama who was injured. Even with all that and the problems with the offense generally, there have been a substantial number of missed opportunities to hit receivers who were wide open by a QB who has not been able to adjust to the speed of P4 football.
