CULTURE
Summary
QB/LB: Fair points but I don’t believe we are a true number one team.
Fair points but I don’t believe we are a true number one team. We just have the best win of the early season.
I also think our culture isn’t as much as imposing our will as it is having each others backs and picking each other up when one of our guys have a mental lapse, are undisciplined, etc. to do each of our jobs to the best of their ability. To pick one another up. I’m sure Sark would love a disciplined football team but he doesn’t ever really talk about discipline when talking about his culture, he talks about how close knit of a team his players are or how he tries to make that happen.
The key to this offense is the QB. It’s a complex system that I don’t think Arch truly has figured out nor am I sure he will figure it out. Great athlete, even better teammate and leader but I just don’t see him as an elite passer.
He threw past the line of scrimmage twice this past weekend. Have you ever seen a D1 P4 QB do that before? I’ve seen some do it once in a game but twice is unheard of.
For all of those who hate on Quinn (who has his own deficiencies… Quinn could make checks at the LOS and slide protections.
I don’t really see that much of any from Arch who I think is too reliant on Sark and what Sark is telling him in his in game communication.
