Curtis has a passing lane opened up to get the ball uncontested to Sherrill. Cooper takes inside leverage and keeps the throwing lane clear. Curtis runs away from the leverage and away from the passing lane. A center 1v1 is hoping to at best stalemate a NT. Centers are smaller in nature and you will notice often Vandy doubled the NT most of the day. I don’t think cooper could’ve done that pass set any better. He stayed in front of the NT. Lineman know what is occurring in the pass game to the extent that ball should be out in 2-3 seconds. If he stays in front and keep Curtis clean, it’s a win for the center.
