3-1
Summary
Pick/market: Short answer: Starting 0-1 and 1-0 in your conference are two entirely different things.
Short answer: Starting 0-1 and 1-0 in your conference are two entirely different things. Do the math yourself. Long answer: Losing to a ranked and mature Virginia team is completely different than losing to a first year Oklahoma State team, at home....again, and then starting 0-1 in conference when it's arguably all you play for in the Big 12, are completely different. Not only does it show regression within the season it shows RR is in fact not turning this program around. You know who else lost at home to Oklahoma State, Brown and Dana. At least they had to deal with Gundi in his prime. RR got them year 1 of a rebuild. You could try and stay positive by saying, "well Oklahoma State might be competing for a spot in a conference title game." But I would argue those are the teams you need to be beating then if you don't want to be a middling program in the Big 12. Again this is year 1 for Oklahoma State. You better not lose to another year 1 program next week and go 0-2 in conference before you even get to the "hard" part of the schedule. So there is a big difference between 3-1 with a lose to Virginia and 3-1 with a lose to Oklahoma actually.
