So he let the g... show more Although RR had complained about the defense even before the season started, I think he was trying to give Alley the benefit of the doubt on his schemes for the first three games - after all we won those. I seriously doubt those schemes will be 'approved' after that debacle against Okie State. RR is stubborn about his own offensive schemes dating back to a few memorable losses to S. Florida and Pitt in his first tenure here. Nope, not my scheme which failed...the players just failed to execute. However, defense is not his baby and he is now openly pointing a finger at it. Since he gave ZA a lot of rope up 'til now, I will be shocked if the experiment of giving free rein to Alley re the defensive scheme will be used from here on out. I also imagine the emphasis will be on tackling drills this week.
