Bottom line as many of us already have stated before is that this season was going to be a wash. Since Fitz wasn't coaching he couldn't raid the pantry for talent and he was hired shortly before the portal opened and there was no Spartan Ventures and not really enough time to evaluate the team and to truly figure out the gaps outside of the obvious - o line. This off season we get to see if he can 1) retain the good talent (if you think we have any at all) 2) fill gaps where we need to with better talent and 3) get depth where we can so there's not as much as a drop off if/when we have injuries. From what I read, Spartan Ventures fully funds the 21.3 million cap by the NCAA meaning all the other external donations and NIL collectives can fully go to 'overflow' cash to push up to that 35-40 million roster range. We're probably going to need 5-7 million dollars overflow cash on interior lineman alone if we want to be as serious about this as Greg and Dawn Williams donation implies.
