NMSU vs NuM notes
Summary
QB/LB: I wasn't sure which of the 87 nUm post game threads to post in, so I chose this one!

Piss poor tackling, that sure seems to be a common theme in Aggieville when our teams struggle. I do not think the scheme overall is bad, and the DC has had guys in the right place at the right time, but we miss the tackle, the linebackers can't shed blocks, and then the secondary puts their head down and completely whiffs. Where is our stud DT (Roberts-Day) that dominated the front during the Florida State game? He no longer starts, and I didn't see him on the field until the 4th quarter. IMO, the offense has been OK, but poor decision making at the QB position has cost it big time. I'm not down on the OC as much as everyone else. The run game has improved dramatically, he's making great calls, guys are open, just look at what Damante is seeing when he's in. Hedden just seems locked in on going deep and nothing else. Coming out flat game after game after game is a very concerning pattern. You are right, that is 100% on the coach(es). I thought Tony would be more of a "players coach" but I'm not seeing it. I will hand it to him and the staff though, the players have never seem to quit in any game no matter the score, Saturday being the latest example.
