Agreed. My only concern is how in the world did Bowden think last winter (b/c LR certainly thought so) that the current roster was sufficiently stacked/competent at key positions?! We needed safeties, linebackers, and even a guard or two out of the portal, but Bowden and company settled for a single LB (Bryant), no safeties at all, and much less any lineman besides ZF and AVS, the latter who might be out now injured for the year. I just don't get their evaluations from last winter. We had glaring holes/insufficient talent at key positions going into this season. All of us were here in the Peristyle waiting for transfer news and it just never came besides a new player trickling in here and there. The atrocities this year mainly on the defensive side of the ball could have been avoided with a few more seasoned players out of the portal.
