A single play: IF Abasiri didn’t rough their QB…

So I guess we could reasonably say that without that penalty we win the game and all the “I told you so’s, how we always find a way to lose” — go out the window, and RIley’s a hero. You can’t have it both ways. He’s a terrible coach who always finds a way to lose or now we finally have a team good enough to beat our chief nemesis and move up in the polls. ONE play — however unfortunate — can’t determine whether Riley is capable or not. IF — IF he just pays more damn attention to discipline and the players buy in — we still have a chance to have a good season. We have better players than last year; those amazing freshmen are developing with each game, the coaching staff, if anything, is better. Remember, the Ducks stumbled earlier in the season,so did Michigan, Penn State, Ole Miss,, even Indiana almost lost. it’s not rocket science and I’m not ready to give up now. PLEASE, COACH RILEY — take a few hours out of scheming and tell your players it’s as important to play SMART as to know your routes and position. That would have been the difference in this game and several others in the recent past. So much for “some penalties are OK because we don’t want to dampen the players’ enthusiasm”. Penalties matter. JUST PLAY SMARTER. Fight on.
