Flying T Frog said... (original post) Colby is a coach’s kid too. His dad Don was grinding away at ENMU and the WTAMU for years. He had some of the most high flying offenses in D2... show more I almost didn't make the post because I think we would have to be pretty far down our list to get to Carthel but that might happen and if it, it might work out for the best. I'm ready for a guy who's a football lifer and a coach's coach. And, if you look at the other jobs that may be open like South Carolina, FSU, USC, Maryland, UNC, CU, Iowa (if Ferentz retires) and maybe even OU, we are not getting our top choices. S Carolina, FSU, USC and UNC will all get to pick ahead of us and even Maryland and CU might be more attractive jobs to some candidates. I think there's a strong possibility we're looking at FCS coaches, Big 12 or ACC level coordinators with no HC experience, or G5 head coaches with mediocre W-L records.
