Tennessee continues SEC play when it hosts Auburn on Saturday at Neyland Stadium, and the 17th-ranked Vols released their first injury update of the week with Wednesday night’s SEC availability report. Starting offensive lineman Shamurad Umarov was listed as questionable after getting shaken up late against Texas. Defensive lineman Nathan Robinson, who has missed the past two games, is listed as probable. Running back Javin Gordon, who also has missed the past two games, is listed as doubtful. Tennessee also has ruled out freshman LEO Kedric Golston II and six other players, including fifth-year starting offensive lineman Wendell Moe Jr., who will miss the rest of the season after suffering a lower-body injury against the Longhorns. Noticeably absent from the availability report are starting quarterback Faizon Brandon and starting nickel Qua Moss. Brandon left the Texas game favoring his throwing shoulder before returning and finishing the game, and Moss was shaken up in the fourth quarter against the Longhorns and did not return. Neither player was available for postgame media while getting treatment after the game, but were not on the initial availability report for the week. Two more availability reports will be released prior to game day on Thursday and Friday nights before the final pregame report comes out 90 minutes before the 3:30 kickoff on ESPN between the Vols and the Tigers, who are coached by former Josh Heupel offensive coordinator Alex Golesh. Tennessee’s initial availability report for the Auburn game: DL Nathan Robinson: Probable OL Shamurad Umarov: Questionable RB Javin Gordon: Doubtful DL Kedric Golston II: Out OL Wendell Moe Jr.: Out DB Dylan Lewis: Out TE Ethan Davis: Out LB Jaedon Harmon: Out WR Joakim Dodson: Out DB Edrees Farooq: Out Moe, a career 42-game starting guard and all-conference performer at Arizona (2022-24) and Tennessee (2025-present), was shaken up on the first drive of the loss to Texas last week and will miss the rest of the season, GoVols247 confirmed earlier Wednesday night. Starting right guard Umarov, who shifted to left guard after Moe went down, was rolled up on the frantic final possession of the game for the Vols. Moss, the Kansas State transfer who has been the starting nickel and returned a punt for a touchdown against the Longhorns, went down after going low to tackle scrambling Texas quarterback Arch Manning in the second half of the 20-17 defeat. Gordon was listed as questionable leading up to game day going into the Texas game due to a knee injury suffered against Georgia Tech, but was ruled out in pregame and missed a second straight game. Robinson also was listed as questionable leading up to the Texas game. He was ruled a game-time decision ahead of kickoff and went through warmups, but did not play. He is dealing with an ankle injury that also caused him to sit out the Kennesaw State game. Golston, the son of former Georgia and NFL defensive tackle Kedric Golston, has played in all four games this season and has two tackles. He played 25 defensive snaps in the Furman and Kennesaw State games. Golston also played on multiple special teams units in the first four games, totaling 39 snaps on the kickoff team and punt-return unit. Tennessee already has suffered multiple season-ending injuries: Miami transfer cornerback Jadais Richard (upper body) was hurt during the offseason, starting safety Edrees Farooq (torn patellar tendon) and sophomore linebacker Jaedon Harmon (torn ACL) were hurt in preseason camp and the Vols lost wide receiver Joakim Dodson (right leg) on a kickoff return against Furman and starting tight end Ethan Davis (ACL) against Georgia Tech. Backup safety Dylan Lewis also is looking at a long-term absence due to a foot injury suffered against Kennesaw State that had him riding a knee scooter on the sideline of the Texas game.
