The Fresno State Bulldogs finished non-conference play with a 3-1 record and are now set to play their first-ever Pac-12 conference game at the Washington State Cougars. BarkBoard.com takes a closer look at this week's opponent.  Fresno State will be making its first trip to Washington State since 1994. This year's Cougar team is led by new head coach Kirby Moore, who was recently the offensive coordinator for the Bulldogs in 2022. Washington State enters Pac-12 play with a 1-3 record, but with three losses to Power 4 programs.  Kick off is set for 6:30 p.m. PT. It will also be the Bulldogs' first 2026 game on the USA Network under the Pac-12's television contract.  Fresno State head coach Matt Entz said of the Cougars, "They were up 14-0 against a good Arizona football team (last week). I think we have to look at the quarterback, a lot of their offense goes through him. Tremendous athlete, has played a lot of football. From an experience standpoint, very comfortable in the pocket. There's some designer quarterback run game, the ability to scramble and move around. They've been very productive on the ground, but as you saw last week against Arizona the pass game elevated too. "Defensively, I have a ton of respect for Coach Bray, the product he's put on the field. Being a defensive coordinator, even last year's defense at Oregon State was very sound. You could tell they are well coached. We're gonna have to fight for every yard and have a really good game plan to put together to execute on the road."
