OL/RB: An offense has five potential players that are eligible to catch passes on any given play, yet the COUGS consistently only seem to utilize 3 of them.
An offense has five potential players that are eligible to catch passes on any given play, yet the COUGS consistently only seem to utilize 3 of them. Clearly some of that is because the other 2 (TE, RB) are being used for protection.
But I've been heard over the years that an offensive coordinator can really help a subpar oline by the play calling: cannot ask these guys to hold blocks for 3+ seconds, use screen-passes, check-downs, rollouts, RPOs, etc. that's all I have to say about that
