As bad as the defense has been. Let's be realistic. We have 2 of our 4 primary safeties who can't cover, period. They couldn't cover last year, or the year before that. Others that might be able to have been injured so no shot at seeing how they would do. The rest are very young and inexperienced. Our FS has done well but he's never played free safety and he isn't the Center Field type. AG, who is the most complete Safety, has missed time and last weeks game. Even then he can't fix it all himself. I'm not implying the staff has done a good job but context matters. How many DCs and position coaches have our 4 primaries been coached by? The problem 2 are exactly the same they have been their entire career.
