Fans must vote with viewership; reluctant watching sends no message about CFP/field expansion concerns.
The assumption is that fans may complain but watch anyway. At some point fans have to vote with viewership. If you want watch do it. But a message doesn’t get sent if you reluctantly watch just because it’s on or better than an alternative program in that time slot. Same thing as they expand the CFP.
