Coaching
Summary
Fisch deserves credit for talent boost and staff building; defense improving. QB consistency and OL upgrades needed for weather/top-defense performance.
I’d love to see Fisch and staff stick around and see how successful they can be here. So far I’d give him his highest marks on how quickly he boosted our overall talent as well as compiling a strong staff. Our defense is becoming impressive and consistent which is vital in Big Ten. OL especially is improving each year.
He tends to ride the QB through ups and downs. That led to some inconsistency in bad weather and against good defenses where maybe he could have relied more on the run game, limiting turnovers and winning field position a bit more. Could solve itself if Demond becomes more consistent and OL improves as expected and matches up better against stronger defenses.
