Washington Huskies Spring Camp Live Updates - Day 7
Summary
UW spring camp battles: LT Greene vs Faasolo/Dieterich; CB Dylan Robinson leads with Karnley/Johnson/Jones/Adams competing; RB mix with Limar/Cooley/Washington injured; WR group rebuilt around Roebuck.
Spring practices continues today with the Washington Huskies scheduled to take the field at 3 pm today at the VMAC. Jedd Fisch enters his third season as the head coach of the Dawgs and there will be a lot of battles in camp as the team begins preparations for what could be a spectacular 2026 football season. Some of the battles we will be watching during spring ball include left tackle where freshman Kodi Greene has slid in with the starting group. He will see some challenge from the likes of Soane Faasolo and Kolt Dieterich, once the latter is fully healthy. At corner, Dylan Robinson appears to be the man to beat at one spot, but the other will be a battle between Emmanuel Karnley, Elias Johnson, Jeron Jones, Ramonz Adams Jr and a few others. The tailback spot was expected to be a battle for reps between a host of players, but two, transfers Jayden Limar (Oregon) and Trey Cooley (Louisville), as well as returner Jordan Washington, are injured so it will be a mix and match group with speedsters Quaid Carr and Brian Bonner and big-backs Julian McMahan and Ansu Sanoe. The wide receiver group returns just one player who contributed last season in sophomore Dezmen Roebuck. Rashid Williams is now healthy and the coaches love the potential of transfers Christian Moss (Kennesaw State) and Bodpegn Miller (Ohio State) as well as freshmen Trez Davis, Jordan Clay and Mason James. Throw in Chris Lawson and Deji Ajose, two returning players who the coaches also have high hopes for and this is a crowded group that will need some time to shake out over the coming weeks. EDGE is a position group we'll be watching to see who comes alongside Jacob Lane to play on the other side. Logan George was brought in from Ohio State while the coaches think that Isaiah Ward is ready to have his best season after two injury-plagued campaigns. Washington will also feature freshman Ramzak Fruean at EDGE and a host of other players who will move inside or down from linebacker depending on the need.
