Summary
Most schools accept max 50% transfer credits; grad programs stricter (law 1L only, MBA/Masters 3-4 classes). Athletes likely can't get special graduation rules without lawsuit.

I’ve never heard of a school accepting more than 50%, and in some cases, what you take doesn’t match the core curriculum, so one might only get gen ed credit for some courses which means they’ll have more than 50% to complete. If it’s grad school, for law it is only your 1L year that transfers. For Masters, it tends to only be 3-4 classes depending on the program. Not sure for MBA. I’ve transferred in undergrad and grad school, so I’ve become well versed in those rules. If a school is making two sets of graduation rules for normal transfers v. athletes, I’d imagine that’d quickly turn into a nasty lawsuit.
