My guess is he makes little if any money on discounted memberships, and he is incented to grow full price memberships as the dominant way of growing his income. Sure CBS makes money, but so does Jackson, that's called business. And how he grows his full priced memberships is by impressing discounted new members with excellent content that is not available anywhere else. If the new members enjoy the content available, they will want to continue with the subscription, but now at full price. So don't think you are only hustling CBS, you are hustling Jackson too. I come down hard because I respect what Jackson has been building, and I respect what seems like a tireless effort to provide a quality forum for information and discussion on all things Fresno State. I respect the small businessman working hard to build something and to succeed. This is a service industry, and tipping/paying a small premium for quality services is a standard and customary practice. Coupons/enticements are designed to get you through door and exposed to what they're selling, not as a permanent way to manipulate a cheap discount!
