What Kirby Smart, Georgia players said about the transfers during spring practice
Summary
Georgia spring practice featured 15 sessions, 8 transfers integrated; Smart praised increased reps and tempo in G-Day game.
Another spring practice has come and gone for the Georgia Bulldogs.
Georgia's players grinded through 15 practices this spring, the last being the G-Day spring game on April 18. It was another productive spring session for the Bulldogs, who are hoping to contend for the national title come the fall.
"Happy and pleased with the spring overall," Georgia head coach Kirby Smart said after the scrimmage. "I thought we had a good spring. I thought our guys got better. We got probably more reps than we've ever gotten before in terms of 1's, 2's, and 3's on a full body of work. We had more snaps today than we've had in spring games in the past. So I was pleased with that.
"The tempo the players had, it was — 65 and 63 [snaps]. We've been averaging around 120 for that game. Really happy for the players that they were able to do that. Got to play a lot of players today."
The focus for many during spring ball is on the freshmen, but Georgia also had eight transfers go through their first spring as Bulldogs. Below are quotes about those transfers — some quotes coming from Smart and others from their new teammates:
