What Kirby Smart, Georgia players said about the freshmen during spring practice
Summary
Georgia spring: 15 practices, G-Day scrimmage; Smart pleased with snaps and reps given 2026 freshmen; tempo productive.
Another spring practice has come and gone for the Georgia Bulldogs. Georgia's players grinded through 15 practices this spring, the last being the G-Day spring game on April 18. It was another productive spring session for the Bulldogs, who are hoping to contend for the national title come the fall. "Happy and pleased with the spring overall," Georgia head coach Kirby Smart said after the scrimmage. "I thought we had a good spring. I thought our guys got better. So I was pleased with that.  "The tempo the players had, it was — 65 and 63 [snaps]. We've been averaging around 120 for that game. Really happy for the players that they were able to do that. Got to play a lot of players today." Spring practice was a big opportunity for the majority of Georgia's 2026 signees to get a sense of what life as a Bulldog would be like. Below are quotes about 26 of those freshmen — some quotes coming from Smart and others from their new teammates:
