5 thoughts from Michigan State football's end-of-spring open practice
Summary
MSU success hinges on D-line/O-line holding their own; trenches determine 6-8 win ceiling; special teams should improve under Woods.
Damn good write up SB...appreciate it. I think we have some nice pieces on this team but for me it always comes down to the trenches: Dline and Oline. If they can hold their own we can win 6-8 games. If not....well, it'll be more of the same.
I'm not an expert on Sheridan's offense but I have a gut feeling he's smart enough to utilize our talent accordingly. I think we'll have an above average offense that will keep us in most games. Kinda pumped about the ST's due to Woods' presence. I've been watching MSU football since 1980 and every good team we've EVER had was sound on special teams. I look forward to getting back to that and we should see immediate dividends IMO.
Defense? Man, I just don't know. Not a Rossi fan....hope to hell I'm wrong.
