NCAA files appeal seeking to overturn injunction granting Owen Heinecke extra year of eligibility
Summary
NCAA appeals Heinecke eligibility injunction; judge rejected "denies another player" argument; may push bylaw defense at Supreme Court.
One of the NCAAs main arguments at trial was allowing Owen to have another year of eligibility meant it would deny another player an opportunity to play football at OU. That argument fell on deaf ears by the judge and will also on the SC if they try to push that bs there. Now they want to push a bylaw defense. Maybe they should have come prepared at the initial hearing. Hopefully the SC will decline to hear challenge outright by confirming the lower court injunction allowing Owen his 6th year of eligibility.
