How much depreciation ‐ Daminic Williams?
Summary
Daminic Williams was #4 DT in rotation; Jayden Jackson better—more mobile despite both being nose tackles; questionable value for price paid.
We went hard to get Williams to solidfy the DL rotation. He had experience, was very effective at TCU, and was sought after by several programs.
THAT SAID
Of our 4 main DTs last year, I feel he was #4 in that rotation. Perhaps it was because he wasn't as flashy, or maybe DT is not a flashy position more often than not. In the end though.........
..........Jayden Jackson was better. Both play the nose, both are hard to move, but JJ moves much better overall where I felt Williams was more of a run stuffer.
So I ask, was he worth it? Im not sure what he was paid, but do you feel we got our money's worth?
