Sayin - not a 1st round pick? According to CBS...
Summary
One year starting; needs physical strength, pocket work, play extension ability. Mid-to-high first round possible if 2026 proves it.
Well, it's ridiculous to say that at this exact moment in time but he's only started one year but if he was drafted this past weekend he certainly would not have been or even close. He's got everything intellectually, internally and mechanically but he needs to get much stronger physically and prove he can be a guy that can work the pocket better. Almost every QB that got drafted is a good-sized dude that can move. He needs to buy time, let plays develop more, extend plays and pickup yardage running when needed. I have ZERO doubt he'll accomplish all of that this season and solidify himself into probably middle of the 1st round talk if not higher.Obviously, it's saying alot, but if all the QB's that got drafted in the first few rounds this past weekend had close to his intellect, mechanics and touch they would have all been top 10 picks.
