How lucky are we to have Ryan Day?
Summary
Day exceeded expectations as first-time HC; manages portal/NIL better than Urban; conference/playoff format much harder now.
It’s just never enough for some of you people. He loses a game and A lot of you are ready to move on. Wait and see if Coach Hartline has any success at all. If so every time Day loses fans will start calling for Hartline every chance they get. Day has been absolutely amazing to me. When Urban got canned(quit) no one saw the success Day is having come to fruition so quickly. Remember we were talking about a guy that had never been a head coach before. He has been more than most of us ever expected and has had just as much if not more success than his predecessor at Ohio State. Urban seemed to always blow an easy game each year (Purdue, Michigan state) where day has struggled with good teams sometimes However that being said the conference looks a lot different now than it did 10 yrs ago. As do the playoffs. No longer 1 win ina chip game and you win it all. Now you have to win 3-4x to be crowned so much different and harder. Plus previous regimes didn’t have to worry about NIL and transfer portal either. Day has been exactly what this team needed at the right time. Btw have you read or heard any news of his players or coaches getting into any trouble at all? Runs a great tight ship filled with class. Love me some Ryan Day.
