Favre hit debate: 2-3 questionable plays, 1+ flagged; would've been "physical" 20 years ago. Edge rusher crawling to ankles after being tripped should he really give up?
There were 2-3 questionable hits. I believe at least 1 was flagged. Whole thing got blown a little out of proportion though. 20 years prior, those same hits would have been called “being physical”.
The hit that hurt him I think was the one where an edge rusher got tripped up and basically crawled to Favre’s ankles to get him. At the same time Favre was getting hit up high by another rusher. It would probably be a flag today for “going low on the QB”. What’s the guy suppose to do though ? Just give up on the play because he got knocked down ?
