Europe (where FIA are based) have really bought into lower/no emissions and are pushing hybrid and electric vehicles. “Net zero” and the Green Deal are a real priority there. As such, the FIA are determined to force this on us. There’s certainly going to be an adjustment for the drivers but I think the FIA are banking on rapid improvements within the electrical framework of the cars.
