Owl silver, while I agree the benefits of the stadium would have outweighed negative impacts, cities invariably have a say as to what gets built in dense urban areas. Traffic impacts, view corridors, zoning, public safety impacts, etc are all in play when an urban university plans projects. Add to this, the stadium would have required the city to abandon a street to make the stadium footprint viable. So please don’t compare it with the Liacouras arena.
