Generally agree with this. I would add that there's a babystep in there, which is the restructuring of the football organization. We need to do that because Norvell was negligent in taking the organization in the right direction and holding them to the right standards. No legit coach would have come to FSU in December 2024 or 2025. They'd have shown up for an interview, seen the org chart and way the business was being operated, and said "yea, i'm not tying my career to this." Hiring Garrett and others has been an effort to bring some adults into the football organization who can rebuild what has been torn down over the last 8 years between two incompetent coaches. Will it be enough to attract a decent coach post-Norvell? No idea. As @omeganole mentions in another thread, perhaps the move is to give Tony White the HC job on a budget 'prove it' 4-5 year contract as a bridge (provided his defense plays up at or above its potential). You're not hiring him to win playoff games, you're hiring him to win 8-9 games per season in a podunk conference where you can outspend 80% of the teams and have tailwinds from FSU's brand and geographic advantages.
