NCAA Five in Five Policy: Army Needs to Maximize This Change
Summary
LB: Food for thought: 1) It will cost the taxpayer an additional $75K per player to institute such a policy, about $110K for spring sports.
Food for thought: 1) It will cost the taxpayer an additional $75K per player to institute such a policy, about $110K for spring sports. 2) I'm not sure a 5th year, if contemplated for every football player that could contribute, will result in an increase in total playing time...yes for the first couple of years, but if it continues, you'll likely just see most players getting on the field for year 4 and 5, instead of 3 and 4 as it is now. 3) IMO, USMA is not the USAFA. The mission is paramount. 4) I think we will see guys losing scholarships at State and private schools to make room for new talent, regardless of eligibility.
