This will be perhaps, the most talented group of pass catchers any UGA qb has ever had. In a recent post I suggested Gunner spend time with Murray’s old film, especially his usage of the TE’s. They need to be more than decoys, or at least it would seem appropriate to use them as receivers and not just blockers this year. Specifically, Gunner would benefit the team much more if he starts throwing guys open behind the linebackers, and building a relationship with one or two to sit in the soft spots when Gunner gets flushed from the pocket. And he needs his eyes up and down the field and his shoulder ready to release the ball. Too many times he already tucked the ball as soon as he decides to leave the pocket. He turns his hips too early which doesn’t allow him to load and throw quickly and these D’s pick up on that.
