Youth movement concern?
Summary
Injury: This year is a high water mark as far as time in system for the Dawgs.

Last year was pretty low and it showed. CKS wants maximum value out of transfers so, unless the need is great enough, he will not bring in a "one and done" guy to fill a hole. The idea is to not be dependent on transfers. Several teams have suffered greatly by not ever developing QBs in system. It is a precarious balance to strike. I have no problems with CKS team building. SO FAR, the Dawgs have maintained a high level of progress from year to year. We ARE seeing growth. We were agressive at safety in the portal because a few guys last year did not meet expectations. We might, depending on how guys develop be more aggressive in the portal in the next few years. I can see that happening in the RB room. We have some guys that will be good but we will not have a bell cow there. Bowens is SOLID but he is not a game wrecker. I think Walker will be solid but he will always be a 2nd or 3rd string guy. I am interested to see how things play out with Lamar. Losing Dawdle is rough but not disasterous. Spell will play alot as a freshman so I think we might add the best value veteran to stabilize the room next season. I think CKS is hoping to wait out the "wild west" anticipating much needed regulation so he doesn't have to flip flop his roster management strategy.
