Do we have enough to win a Natty this year ?
Summary
Pick/market: I do not see the "obvious holes" that you list for '26.

I do not see the "obvious holes" that you list for '26. I do see "unknowns", but we have had "unknowns" in every Championship season. Usually, these have been "Can the OL mesh and be physical?" At times, they have been "Can the new Coordinators get their squad up to speed?", or "Can this kid replace this departed legend?"
For '26, on O, the unknowns are simply, "Can this experienced OL + Ian Moore be great in the run game?" and "Can Ryan Day and Art Smith transform the run game into a strength in short yardage, while maximizing the use of the middle 1/3 of the field in the pass game, without relying on 5-7 step drops and long developing pass plays?" "Can Day and Smith mix in more uptempo or at least get plays in quicker to increase the # of O plays/game?"
I do not see personnel deficiencies on O. I only see game planning and play calling adjustment unknowns.
For '26 on D, the unknowns are simply, "Can Matt Patricia adjust in real time better than he did against the U and IU, when he allowed Mario/Cig to do what they wanted to do on O, without forcing them to make adjustments, while not finding ways to find mismatches with Reese and Downs?" and "Is the unproven DL ready to stop the run? Are J Smith, Houston, Walker, and W Smith stout and talented enough to change the LOS and put great opponents behind schedule on 2nd and 3rd downs consistently?"
I'm not worried about personnel "holes", beyond 1 tech, as long as Little/Moore can play as well as JMcClain did LAST season. I firmly believe that McClain will be a difference maker at S. LB will be fine as the OP mentioned, and I think that the CBs will be BETTER than last season, if Matthews is used to some degree in the slot and Kelly ios firmly in the 3 man rotation with Matthews/Sanchez.
