Myslinski or Pieper: Who should/will be our starting center?
Summary
Myslinski should start center (5th year, experience); Pieper stays guard; Hudson Parliament cracks two-deeps but limited snaps absent injury.
I almost hope that Myslinski gets the starting center job for two reasons: 1) then Pieper could stay at his original position and not have to learn a new position and, at least in theory, be better; and, 2) I could be wrong, but doesn't Myslinski already have at least some experience playing center? At any rate, this is about his fifth year in the system, I believe. Remember that Logan Jones won the Rimmington position as a converted center, but also remember that he had some growing pains, and I really want the O-line to click by the time the Big 10 season starts this fall. An awful lot depends on the O-line clicking early. On a somewhat related note, where do you see Hudson Parliment in all of this for 2026? I say that he will crack the two-deeps and get a moderate amount of playing time but not a tremendous amount barring either 1) injury or 2) he is the next Tristan Wirfs.
