Jay Norvell joins staff
Summary
Jay was 6-3, 210+ lb strong safety starter for Iowa; took over after Mike Stoops (All-Big Ten) graduated.
Jay was a big starter at strong safety for Iowa. Maybe 6-3, over 200, maybe 210 pounds. He hit hard.
I believe he took over the job after Mike Stoops graduated- and Mike was also a fine SS- 1st Team All-Big Ten in fact.
