This is a nice honor for UCF's QB to start the season, as the Maxwell Award is an annual award presented to "the most outstanding player in college football." The team loves him and he's their unquestioned leader. The coaches love him. And it appears the national media does, too! I've said it before in other places but I'll say it again here: If Barnett stays healthy and is as good as advertised, I believe UCF will surprise some people this year.
