CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The 2026 Boston College Eagles returned to the practice field on a hot August Saturday morning after an off-day Friday. Day three of training camp featured field goal, punt and offensive and defensive line one-on-one work in addition to the standard competitive team periods. After practice, Kevin T. Fee Family Defensive Coordinator Ted Roof met with the media, along with quarterback Mason McKenzie and cornerback Max Tucker . The wide receivers and defensive backs kept the competitive juices flowing after another day of spirited one-on-one work. Second-year cornerbacks Ashton Cunningham and TJ Green each had pass breakups to save touchdowns in the end zone. On offense, Mason McKenzie found Bryce Dopson down the sideline in stride for a score, and Jaedn Skeete had an acrobatic catch on his back at the goal line. "It's nice to get in a rhythm and move the ball downfield," McKenzie said after practice. "We were working on the run game today, and the play action pass comes off of that. It's good to see our offensive line going hard, even when they're tired. That means a lot." After Anthony Palano saved a touchdown with a pass breakup on wide receiver Javarius Green on Thursday, Bodie Kahoun made it known that Palano wouldn't be the only linebacker to break up a touchdown. The Notre Dame transfer jumped in front of tight end Brady Clough near the front pylon of the end zone, deflecting the pass. Later during practice, Marcus Upton added an interception of his own to ignite the defense. "He brings a lot of athleticism," Roof told the media about second-year safety Upton. "He's a different guy than he was in the spring. He's playing with a lot more confidence, and he's playing well right now." Running back Evan Dickens showed why he ranked in the top ten of several national rushing categories a season ago, making him one of the top available backs in the transfer portal this offseason. The Liberty transfer added several explosive runs of his own during Saturday's practice. Fourth-year cornerback and Catholic Memorial product Max Tucker is by all accounts the most vocal leader on the team. Saturday was no different for the Hyde Park native, who broke up a reception from fellow Catholic Memorial alum Jaedn Skeete in the end zone at the end of Saturday's practice session. "I feel like my energy is important in getting this team where we need to be. If I'm energized, I feel like it brings the whole team up. Energy is what's going to make us great," said Tucker. The Eagles return to the practice field Sunday for their second training camp session in as many days. Practices are closed to the public. Gallery: (8-8-2026) FB Training Camp - Day Three - 8/8/26
