August 7th Zoom Interviews, Part 1 - Rojas & DiMeco
Summary
QB/WR: It just baffled my mind when the opposing team had 3rd and long, then Rojas would drop eight and rush three.
It just baffled my mind when the opposing team had 3rd and long, then Rojas would drop eight and rush three. What happened most of the time? The QB had enough time to eat a ham sandwich and find an open WR or he scrambled for a first down. If eight guys can't cover five guys in space, then switch it up. Roll the dice and bring five! Crazy! Then they'd have six covering five, which is still a numbers advantage and maybe the QB wouldn't have time to finish his sandwich and throw the ball. Are they any numbers of what percentage Delaware blitzed last season? They had to be one of the lower blitzing teams in C-USA, or at least it seamed like it.
