Matt Rhule was asked specifically about true freshman Danny Odem, who received some kudos from Cameron Lenhardt during the BTN broadcast. "Yeah, Danny lines up and expects to make a play on the ball when the ball's coming at him," Rhule said. Odem likes football, Rhule said, and is smart and competitive. "If you play a freshman at that position, you have to be willing to help them through some things. But mentally, he's a lion. He attacks. And when the ball is in the air, he tries to go get it. He's got great length, great hands, long arms." Rhule said there's a good battle for the second, third and fourth cornerback spots, presumably behind Andrew Marshall. Jeremiah Charles and Victor Evans have had great camps, the coach added. He also mentioned Larry Tarver, Bryson Webber and Amare Sanders among those who have done well. "That's been one of our stronger positions in camp, I think, the cornerback play," Rhule said. "Winning those 50-50 balls outside, the corners have played them really well and Danny is no exception."
