Some other notes tucked in there, including Daikiel Shorts on QB1: Husker wide receivers coach Daikiel Shorts sees a natural leader in Anthony Colandrea. He said the quarterback has had a lot to do with everyone on offense getting on the same page. "He's kind of got that vibe to where the guys kind of gravitated towards him," Shorts said. "So if he says something, they're going to listen. He lets them be themselves and at the end of the day he's one of the guys. So I think they respect that." That influence isn't limited to the receivers. "When he speaks the team listens. And everyone knows that he loves it, and he works hard. When you got a guy that's competitive like that, and practices the way he does, you have no choice but do the same."
