While I will always be a Bulldog fan first, I've tried to invest emotionally in Cal Poly, but it's difficult to do so. Their two most recent coaches went 4-21 and 10-24, and it seems most games are blowouts. If the team would be competitive, perhaps consistently 6-6, I would attend games more often. Lately I've not gone to more than one game per season. Hopefully Skipper will turn things around. I'm looking forward to going to the home opener. I think the lack of tailgating relates to the lack of success on the field. There is just not a lot of excitement about CalPoly football locally. The John Madden football center is now open; with a little success on the field, hopefully things will get better.
