Summary
- Texas added a Michigan State tight end transfer whose receiving ability gives the offense meaningful upside in 2026.
- His receiving production was limited when protection problems forced him to stay in and block more often than expected.
- Blocking remains the development point, but a stronger offensive line should let Texas use him more frequently as a pass catcher.
- The offense is at its best when the tight end can threaten defenses as both a blocker and receiver, making his progress an important ceiling variable.
