There's no question but that McIlhenny was a big factor in making the Pony Express so successful. He never completed even 50% of his passing attempts but because our running game was so potent he averaged 16 yards per completion. By comparison, Kevin completes a much higher percentage of his throws but averages between 12-13 yards per completion. With a stronger running game I am hopeful this year's offense will generate more explosive plays in the passing game and that Kevin's yards per completion might get closer to what Lance accomplished back in the day.
