Summary

- Pitt's unresolved field-safety job includes Josh Guerrier, Allen Bryant and Cole Woodson; moving Woodson over from the boundary increased urgency in the competition. - Shawn Lee Jr. has also taken field-safety reps, while Cruce Brookins remains the clear defensive anchor and was described as fine despite a minor camp knock. - The defense has reworked its third-down package under Cory Sanders, with Narduzzi indicating new wrinkles rather than a wholesale schematic change. - Potential returns by Desmond Reid and Justin Holmes were still unresolved, so neither should be treated as part of the current depth chart until they physically rejoin practice.
