Mario Cristobal provides brief comment on status of RB Jordan Lyle heading into opener
Summary
-
Mario Cristobal offered no new clarity on running back Jordan Lyle's availability for Miami's Stanford opener, leaving his status unresolved after injuries limited him to six games last season and an August arrest created another availability question.
-
Mark Fletcher remains Miami's lead back after rushing for 1,192 yards and 12 touchdowns, while CharMar Brown and Girard Pringle Jr. entered the opener ahead of Lyle based on the second half of last season.
-
Offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson plans to use a running-back committee and distribute carries across Miami's deep room rather than rely on one back for every role.
