South Florida is not releasing an official depth chart this season, so its game notes and package usage will be the primary public indicators of roles.

CJ Hicks has been listed both at defensive end and JACK, and the presence of Michael Williams at end makes Hicks' hybrid role a plausible way to put both on the field with Major Dillard and Asani Redwood in the front.

Likely starters Ethan Green at offensive tackle and Za'Quan Bryan at corner were omitted from USF's players-to-watch list, as were STAR candidates Tayvion Beasley and Ayden Jackson, reinforcing that the document is not a conventional two-deep.

Amarion Fortenberry is identified as a safety in the game notes but a corner on the online roster, suggesting USF may vary his alignment with its defensive package.
