Boston College is preparing for Scott Satterfield's established spread-option structure by emphasizing assignment discipline, fundamentals and the ability to adjust during Saturday's road opener.

Bill O'Brien identified Cincinnati's veteran offensive line as a primary challenge and said its transfer-heavy receiving corps creates additional first-game uncertainty for the Eagles.
