Which has been a headscratcher fo... show more It’s both his biggest blessing and biggest curse as Alabama coach so far. The expectations coming out of both of those Georgia wins were part of what crushed those teams later on. I don’t know if either of those teams on the whole was as good as they looked against Georgia. Especially in the first halves of those games. Alabama outscored UGA, 54-21, in those two first halves and was out scored by UGA, 34-11, in the second halves. I don’t think Alabama was 33 points better than UGA those past two seasons, so those two first halves outperformed the actual team. Which is good but obviously wasn’t sustainable.
